Why a short story collection?

Because I cannot commit to a full-length novel at the moment.

My attempt is to keep some sort of theme through each collection. Volume 1 is focused more on randomness of life. Volume 2 (which has taken a back seat at the moment) is to be a science fiction themed. The current Volume 3 in development is about exploring the dark side of the mind, mental illness, hospital stays, and consequences of life. Overall, the approach is always capturing fragments, moments of what it is to be alive.
