
Diet
Building on last week’s entry, but diet has been much impactful in my recovery. Surprisingly, people think well pop some pills and you’ll be cured. But they undermine the physicality or lack of it in mental illness and the food we intake. We undermine how everything is connected and lives in a balance. I realized that I have been eating wrong for decades. That certain foods were triggering some physical symptoms and with that affecting also my nutrition and my hormones. Hormones, the drivers of our behaviour.
So besides, therapy, practicing self-regulation methods, and keeping active, I also added diet to my regime for change and improvement.
After all, we are what we eat.
So, don’t forget about the diet.
